A local jiu-jitsu coach has made history by becoming the first Manx athlete to win double gold medals in a major championship.
Hayley Curtis took the wins in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation European Championships in Rome.
The competitor from Summit Grappling Academy in Douglas secured victory by defeating the Abu Dhabi pro champion in the open weight final.
Head coach Conrad Roberts called it a ground-breaking achievement for Curtis, who's battled through a number of major injuries over the past year.
