A problem with the new online student awards system meant 130 pupils did not receive fee award letters in time for university enrolment.
Education and Children Minister Graham Cregeen was asked what the IT issue was by Member for Douglas North David Ashford in Tynwald last week.
Mr Cregeen says letters had to be checked to ensure the correct value was shown on the letters - as this was the first time the semi-automated process was used.
He says no students will be negatively affected as a result and they should receive their award letters soon.
