The government's opening up a database showing who owns what companies here - because the company looking after it is banned from seeing it.
The beneficial ownership database was set up to allow authorities to find out who really owns Manx-registered firms.
But by law only the government's IT staff can access it, effectively locking out tech support contractor PDMS.
In Tynwald this week, members will be asked to relax the rules so PDMS workers can maintain the database.
