The Isle of Man has been name-checked during a UK parliamentary discussion about lowering the voting age.
In a debate yesterday, Labour's Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Lord Khan of Burnley was asked about the plan recently announced by Sir Keir Starmer.
He named the Isle of Man as one of the places which had lowered the voting age from 18 to 16.
And he told the House of Lords evidence shows people who vote at a younger age are more likely to continue voting as they get older.
