Efforts will be made to strip death\'s taboo status
It’s currently the second annual Dying Matters Awareness Week, with the Isle of Man marking it for the first time.
The week was devised to make people more aware of the many considerations and issues that come with weighty topic of death.
Things like making wills and planning funerals in advance can greatly relieve a burden on the deceased’s family.
The week is also geared toward stimulating debate on the topic, and helping people learn more about how to cope with grieving process.
The End of Life Care Strategy will be issuing a public consultation over the Summer months which will gather views about death, dying and bereavement.
They will also have an information stand on Strand Street on both Friday and Saturday of this week.
