A flybe plane heading to the Isle of Man this morning was forced to make an emergency landing just minutes after taking off.
The aircraft turned back to Manchester Airport shortly after setting off after a smoke alarm sounded.
Flybe confirmed that the flight, soon after take-off at 0850, returned to Manchester as a precautinary measure and landed normally after the smoke alarm in the aircraft's toilet was triggered.
As is standard industry practice, the airport declared a full emergency in dealing with the landing.
Fire crews met the plane as it touched down on the runway just before 9AM.
Twenty passengers and four crew were evacuated.
The aircraft is currently being examined by engineers who are trying to find the source of the problem.
