It's been confirmed that The Isle of Man Bay Festival has been cancelled.
Official word from the organisers has been received that the 3 day event this June is not longer going ahead.
A public appeal was made last week to 'use it or lose it' following the announcement of very poor ticket sales.
An Isle of Man Bay Festival spokesperson said: 'Although we have explored every avenue to keep the festival alive we cannot see a sustainable way to make it commercially viable due to poor ticket sales. For that reason we have been forced to take the sad decision to cancel this year which was due to be held on 17th, 18th and 19th June 2011. We have taken the decision now to give as much notice as possible.'
World famous artists such as Westlife and Tinie Tempah were scheduled to be performing in Nobles Park.
The Elton John event on Thursday 16th June will going ahead as normal.
