Having a business representative in South Africa is key to the Island's economic growth.
That's according to Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston, who faced a question in Tynwald about the job from Onchan MHK Julie Edge.
The role in Johannesburg carries a salary of £20,000 for at least two days a week, and Mr Johnston revealed they'd held more than 200 meetings in the past year.
He explained what the job involves:

Last chance to become next TT's charity partner
No gas price hike after regulator review
Cafe hits back after staff abused
Online appointments being considered by sexual health clinic
Treasury can’t say how much is made from medicinal cannabis
