Island's role in $95 million US lottery scheme revealed

It's emerged the Isle of Man was pivotal to a lottery scandal in America.

A group of gamblers and bankers used lottery-ticket printing terminals to buy almost every combination in the Texas lottery in 2023, scooping $95 million.

An investigation into the scheme has found a group funneled money into Isle of Man accounts before sending the cash to the US to buy the tickets.

Another lottery winner - who claims their prize was affected by the scheme - is currently suing members of the group in an American court.
