The Isle of Man Prison is operating close to full capacity, with almost 90% of available spaces currently occupied.
That's according to figures released from The Department of Home Affairs.
Following a Freedom of Information request, numbers show 147 inmates are being held at the Jurby facility in the north of the Island.
While the prison is not yet full, it has a maximum capacity of 165 prisoners, leaving space for only another 18 inmates.
