The Island's next Lieutenant Governor has been confirmed.
Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer will succeed Sir Richard Gozney.
Sir John has served in the British Army for 39 years in a career which has included tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He has described it as a ‘great honour’ to be appointed by Her Majesty The Queen as the Island’s Crown representative.
Arrangements for Sir John’s swearing in ceremony at Castle Rushen will be announced later this year.
