Dr Rosalind Ranson - the Island's former medical director - has been awarded more than £3m in compensation.
It comes following the Employment and Equality Tribunal looking into the case of the 'unfair dismissal' of Dr Ranson - who took up the post on Island back in 2020.
The total figure awarded includes £1.95m in lost future earings and nearly £750, 000 in future pension losses.
Further, the tribunal ruled the Department of Health and Social Care must pay 70% of Dr Ranson’s costs of the liability proceedings.
Injury to feelings, aggravated damages and personal injury also added to the total figure.
