The Island's first dedicated charging station for electric vehicles has been rejected by planners.
Lemac Power had applied for the facility on South Quay in Douglas, which would have had 12 charging bays and solar panels.
However, Douglas Council objected saying the filling station would essentially be a car park and so unsuitable for a brownfield site.
And the Department of Infrastructure's flood management division said the site is at risk of tidal flooding - potentially submerging equipment in salt water.
