Alcohol Advisory Service Comment on UK Drugs Study
A Study in the UK has revealed that alcohol is the most harmful drug, with wider reaching implications than even heroin and crack cocaine.
The study was published in medical journal The Lancet.
Just last year statistics were published that showed the Island to have a serious binge drinking culture among teens.
Thea Ozenturk from the Alcohol Advisory said the study would have reached its conclusion by taking into consideration the effects alcohol has on the wider community, with policing costs and the impact on the health services being key factors.
