Island residents are being invited to join a doorstep vigil tomorrow night in memory of Sarah Everard.
The death of the 33-year-old marketing executive this month has sparked conversations around the globe about violence against women.
Women of Mann is asking people to stand on their doorstep at 9.30pm on Monday (March 15) with a candle or light for a minute of silence in Sarah’s honour and to also remember others who have suffered at the hands of male violence towards women.
One of the organisers, Stacey Astill, says: “We want to provide an outlet for those who wish to show support, and allow people of the Island to come together from a distance in solidarity, commemoration and indignation”.
Organisers are also asking participants to share support online using the hashtag #vigilforsarahiom
