The Island could get a new national glen, if proposals in the North are approved by government.
Garff commissioners say they've been emailed by a resident who wants Garwick Glen to be given the official status.
The glen was home to sprawling gardens which attracted thousands of visitors until they closed in 1965.
The board says it'll enlist the help of local MHKs to approach government about the proposals.
