Island residents are being urged all this week to share a lift to work.
With petrol prices hitting a record high this year, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is encouraging people to try filling their empty car seats for the first ever Journeymatch week on the Island.
Hundreds of people are already signed up to the scheme, with nearly 400,000 registered in the UK.
Environmental Health Officer Kristian Cowin says it's a great way to socialise and also help the environment (audio above)
Cat Turner is on of the Isle of Mans car sharers and says 'Liftshare's made what was otherwise a nightmare journey involving 3 buses and a couple of hours into an easy and enjoyable door to door trip - and it's sociable too, we get to have a nice chat on the way! I'd recommend it whole-heartedly.'
You can join up by logging on to www.journeymatch.im.
