A six-year fundraising project at the Groudle Glen Railway has been nominated for a national award.
The organisations initiative to build the Brown Bear locomotive has been shortlisted in the top ten for the Railway Heritage Award from Steam Railway Magazine which recognises new-build and restoration projects aimed at celebrating heritage preservation.
The Brown Bear locomotive was officially launched at this years Manx Heritage Transport Festival in July - those at Groudle Glen are now hoping the public can get behind them by voting for them to win.
Anyone who wants to get behind the cause are being invited to visit www.steamrailway.co.uk before the deadline on Monday, December 16.
