 
                            The Department of Environment Food and Agriculture says time is of the essence with regards to the Island combating climate change.
Scientists have now definitively stated that it is happening and is caused by humans.
The Island has made a pledge to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 80 per cent by 2050.
For this to happen we need to utilise low carbon alternatives in place of damaging fossil fuels.
Environmental health officer Kristian Cowin says any more than a two degree rise would have damaging effects:
