Expert Says IOM is Responding to Mephadrone Problem Quicker Than The UK
The Isle of Man has been praised by a top UK Drugs Expert in the pro-active way it's tackling the Plant Food problem.
The issue has come back into sharp focus following the deaths of two men in the UK from suspected overdoses of the legal high.
It's been a growing problem on the Island over the past 6 months, with it's uncanny resemblance to cocaine leading to numerous arrests when people are caught with it in their possession.
Two side-affects attributed to the drug are nose bleeds and pyschosis.
We spoke to the Business Development Manager for Scottish Training in Drugs and Alcohol, Alan Johnston, he says the Isle of Man is currently leading by example
