A gym boss on Island has smashed a world record whilst raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Sam Murphy, founder of Fusion Barbell in Braddan, claimed the record for the most weight deadlifted in 24 hours, lifting a colossal 520,072kg within that time - the equivalent of three and a half blue whales.
The challenge on November 27 saw Sam lift around 65kg a staggering 8,533 times and his efforts beat the previous record set by American, Kengee Ehrlich, by almost 20,000 kg.
His mission has also been raising money for Movember which ran throughout last month - so far donations to the cause have reached around £4,600.
His JustGiving page remains open to donations and is available here.
