There are 'considerable barriers that need to be sorted' if an electric vehicle is to be permanantly introduced on Island.
That's the view of MHK Tim Glover, who went to view the £500,000 bus that's currently being trialled here.
He says the Island doesn't have a 'high enough charging infrastructure' for the bus, with its charging time currently 16 hours.
He adds the current bus depot would need to be 'completely refigured' or a new base built for future bus provision if this is the route taken.
After traveling from Douglas to Ramsey and back, the bus had 75% battery power remaining.
