A Flybe flight from Liverpool to the Isle of Man had to be evacuated prior to take off yesterday following reports of smoke onboard the aircraft.
The smoke alarm was activated as soon as the plane’s air conditioning unit was switched on
All passengers were disembarked from the plane and transferred onto another flight.
The incident was later attributed to a minor technical fault following an inspection by engineers.
