Police are reminding people to check their cars are ready for winter, as darker evenings draw in.
The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team says officers were carrying out speed checks in St John's yesterday evening and stopped a number of drivers.
Fortunately, they say no problems were found with any of the vehicles or drivers.
But they're now reminding motorists to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy ready for winter weather.
