Is you child breaking the law on an e-scooter?

Police are warning e-scooters aren't legal on roads or pavements - and you could face a hefty fine if you're caught riding one.

Officers say they've seen a rise in the number of complaints as good weather tempts people out on them - but they say they aren't legal to be ridden in public.

They say a recent case saw someone handed a £950 fine and seven points on their licence.

And they're warning parents against buying them for children saying it risks youngsters breaking the law.
