Five Island organisations were recognised at the fourth UNESCO Biosphere Awards.
The awards celebrate those contributing to sustainable development, conservation and education.
Winners were Capital International Group, the One World Centre, Zurich, Versa and the entire farming community which has adopted the Agri-Environment Scheme.
They were chosen by a panel of judges from government and the private and third sectors, and were presented with hand crafted awards.
