The Island's Fire and Rescue Service has issued tips on how to reduce the chances of a chimney fire.
It comes as crews have attended a number of incidents this week.
It's recommended that you keep a fire guard in front of the fire at all times, make sure it's extinguished before leaving the house and keep flues well maintained.
The Service adds that a clean chimney can help prevent fires and structure damage to your property.
