Isle of Man-based Steam Packet staff will not have to self-isolate when returning to the Island.
It's part of the latest protection measures for Steam Packet crew - agreed between the company and the government.
In a statement issued tonight it's been revealed Isle of Man-based crew members will no longer have to self-isolate when returning to Manx shores - however, UK-based crew will still be required to do so.
The new arrangements have been approved by the Island’s Director of Public Health - Dr Henrietta Ewart.
It comes following an announcement last week that crew members will have priority access to the Island’s COVID-19 vaccination programme.
As a result, on Wednesday 69 crew members received their first dose.
Meanwhile, a new testing regime will also be introduced to ensure the infection status of crew members can be regularly monitored - crew will now be tested at the beginning and the end of each shift.
