Heron and Brearley says it will not give any detail on an ongoing enquiry into the suspension of a pub landlord.
A major campaign has been started in Peel to try and get Highwayman landlord Andrew Davies reinstated.
Local residents have started a Facebook group ‘‘Save the Highwayman One’ which has over 4,000 members.
Heron and Brearley says it is conducting an internal enquiry following a number of incidents at the pub.
It says to protect both the fairness and integrity of the ongoing investigation, as well as the confidentiality of those concerned, it will not give out any more details at this time.
Regulars say they will be boycotting the pub and all Heron and Brearley premises until ‘common sense prevails’.
