Manx Gas says it'll be working in Ramsey over the next few days following an explosion this afternoon.
The incident near Parliament Square saw fire break out near a gas intake, blowing drain covers off - firefighters evacuated householders while they dealt with the blaze.
The road had to be closed for around three hours while the mains was dug up and made safe.
An investigation into the cause is underway, and Manx Gas says it'll reinstate supplies over the next few days.
