The inquest into the death of an elderly man who died following a house fire was opened this morning.
Edmund Morrison, who was 91 and from Port Erin, was taken to Noble's Hospital following the blaze on February 14th.
He had suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
The court heard Mr Morrison - who was a retired garage proprietor - died in hospital on February 23rd of pneumonia.
The Coroner of Inquests passed on his condolences to Mr Morrison's family - the inquest was adjourned to a later date.
