A court has heard how four pensioners who died in a car crash last week all lived in the same street.
An inquest into their deaths opened at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
All four were from Gretch Noa in Laxey and were travelling on New Road in the village when they crashed into a bus stop.
The hearing was told police investigations into the crash are continuing.
The court heard 89 year old Derek Brown had been driving the car on the morning of July 24.
84 year old Kathleen Garrett was in the front passenger seat and 81 year old Joyce Brown and 81 year old Marie Gordon had been in the back.
Consultant pathologist Dr Irvin Long said all four died from head and chest injuries.
Coroner of Inquests John Needham adjourned the case until a date to be fixed and gave his condolences to the family present.
