The inquest into the death of a Jurby woman has opened and adjourned.
Laura Kinrade died in a crash on Lezayre Road near Lezayre church on October 30th.
Coroner of Inquests John Needham opened the hearing at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
In a statement, a police officer who attended the scene of the incident said the mum of two appeared to have been thrown from the vehicle.
Consultant pathologist Dr Christopher Clague told the court the 27 year old from Bretney died from massive blunt force trauma.
She'd suffered severe head injuries when she was thrown from her Vauxhall Astra.
The incident happened shortly after 6.30pm and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Needham adjourned the case to a date to be fixed, released her body for burial, and expressed his condolences to members of her family who were in court for the case.
