After a nasty crash in the Tour of Qatar prologue a bandaged Mark Cavendish got back in the saddle yesterday to complete the first stage.
The Manxman sustained injuries to his face after his front wheel collapsed as he bunny hopped over a speed hump.
Regardless of this though he still managed to finish the 145.5km stage.
He finished 12 minutes behind stage winner Tom Boonen.
