High inflation on the Island can be partly blamed on the fallout from Brexit, according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
This month, the government revealed inflation stood at 4.6 per cent - its highest rate for more than five years.
Mr Thomas says a high figure can cause problems if wages can't match the rising cost of living.
But he says he does expect the figure to fall in the coming months:
