Independent healthcare report cost over £900,000

The independent review into the Islands healthcare service cost just over £906,000.

The figure was revealed by Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford MHK, in written response to a question in Tynwald earlier this week.

His statistics say external consultancy costs came to £761,899 whilst staff and other costs came to £143,356 between March 2018 and May the following year when the report was published.

Douglas South MHK Kate Costain had asked the Minister what the total cost of the independent review by Sir Jonathan Michael came to.
