Onchan commissioners say they'll ask the Department of Infrastructure to repaint double-yellow lines after illegal parking stopped bins being emptied this week.
The local authority says Seaview Road, Mountfield Road, Queens Road and Governors Road have all been affected.
On Facebook, the board says if a bin wagon can't get through then neither can fire engines.
It's asking residents to park responsibly, and says repainting road markings will help keep routes clear.
