The longest running brass-band radio presenter in the world will be awarded Tynwald's highest honour in St John's today.
Ian Cottier, who has presented more than 2,000 editions of a programme called 'Time for Brass', will recieve the award at this year's Tynwald Day.
The former headteacher is also keen volunteer, dedicating time to the Manx Blind Welfare Society, Isle of Man Hospice and The Salvation Army.
One of the criteria for the award is that recipients must be motivated by promoting the quality of Manx life.
