The recent Humpback Whales spotted in Manx waters are a reminder of how important is it to report sightings.
That's according to Bryony Manley, a researcher for the Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch.
She says the charity hadn't actually seen the latest whale until it was alerted by a member of the public, and could tell the species from the pictures.
Bryony adds that it's always important to report a sighting as the information provided may be looked at in the future as part of research.
The charity says at least two different Humpback Whales have made up the most recent five sightings.
