Huge fall in airport passenger numbers

There’s been a sharp fall in passengers travelling to and from Ronaldsway Airport.

The latest figures show the number of passengers using the airport in September fell by 7.5 per cent.

59,500 people travelled in comparison to 64, 300 in the same month last year – meaning it’s the worst September since 1996.

A fall in traffic was expected, due to the Commonwealth Youth Games adding traffic last year, however it’s significantly greater than expected.
