HSBC in Douglas has avoided the latest round of branch closures by the bank following further cutbacks.
The company confirmed another five sites around the British Isles were to close but the Victoria Street branch will not be one of them.
HSBC has closed more than 200 branches around the UK in the past three years but only nine so far in 2013.
The bank has said the closures in the UK were the ‘last resort’ as it continues to re-balance its finances.
