How much will extra first-time buyer support cost taxpayers?

How much will it cost to provide extra support for first-time home buyers promised at the government conference? 

That the question on the lips of Onchan MHK Julie Edge, who's tabled a Tynwald question for written reply for Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood. 

The government's announced plans to increase loan amounts and widen eligibility for schemes to help young people onto the property ladder. 

Ms Edge wants to know where the money for it is coming from - and whether it will need cuts to public services.
