A Rushen MHK has criticised plans for a new housing development saying it flies in the face of what the local community wants.
Phil Gawne, and his fellow MHKs Laurence Skelly and Juan Watterson, met with Dandara to discuss the Ballakilley site in Port Erin last week.
Tynwald ruled that the site was fit for an extensive housing estate as part of the Southern Area Plan.
That was despite strong opposition from politicians and the local community who wanted to see it zoned for recreational use.
