A Rushen MHK says he feels household registration for elections has 'had its day' on the Isle of Man.
Instead Juan Watterson says he thinks individual registration would be a 'good step' forward.
Last week he gave evidence to a Select Committee which was looking at the organisation and operation of last year's General Election.
Currently households have to register to be put on the Electoral Register in order for each person living there to get their vote.
Mr Watterson says it's time to update that legislation:
