A developer says he's hoping to restore and reclaim contaminated land in Foxdale with plans for a new home.
James Cubbon, who lives next to the site, has applied for planning permission in principle to build a house on land on East Foxdale Road.
The land was contaminated by historical mining operations, and was part of the area known as The Deads.
In his application, he says the work would remove chemicals left over from mining and protect local watercourses from leeching.
