Manx Care has confirmed it was a vehicle fire which caused the main entrance of Noble's Hospital to be closed this morning.
The healthcare service says no one was hurt in the incident, which has now been resolved.
It adds the front entrance remains closed to vehicles, with a one-way system in place at this time, Tuesday, April 21.
However, patients and visitors can now use it again.
