Broken glass is intentionally being put into a paddock on Mount Gawne Road in Port St Mary putting horses at risk.
That’s according to police in the south of the Island who are appealing for information following the allegations.
They say so far there have been no injuries to any of the animals in the field but they are taking the matter seriously.
Police say they will be stepping up patrols in the area and those responsible are being warned they could face prosecution.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Port Erin Police Station on 832222.
