Anthony O'Carroll of Ballyduff was injured in July and airlifted to the Walton Centre for Neuroscience in Liverpool, where he's still being treated.
His family have issued a new update on a GoFundMe page about the future as he slowly recovers, saying they need to find him an appropriate place to recover in Ireland.
A fundraising weekend will be held in his hometown from September 13 as fundraising continues to fly the 27 year old home.
