In the last year 41 people have experienced cancer reoccurrences, with 10 instances of secondary cancers recorded
A reoccurrence is when someone who has previously battled the illness receives a further diagnosis, a secondary case is when the cancer spreads to another part of the body.
The revelation came following a question asked by MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew Jason Moorhouse in the House of Keys last Tuesday.
Health and Social Care Minister Lawrie Hooper gave the answer, and outlined what support is available for those people
