A taxi driver has been remanded in custody as he faces charges over the death of a pensioner in an alleged hit-and-run incident.
David Evans of Tynwald Street in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 65 year old is charged with failing to stop after an accident, failing to report a crash, causing death by careless driving and committing an act against public justice, but hasn’t yet entered any pleas.
There was no bail application and he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 5.
